FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new clients?
I currently have a waitlist for new clients. I see adults 18 and up. I am in the office available for in person or online sessions Wednesday-Friday and offer exclusively online sessions Mondays and Tuesdays. Feel free to reach out to discuss my availability.
Do you take insurance?
I currently accept Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Medicaid/MO Healthnet, Medicare, and United Healthcare/Optum/UMR and am in the process of joining Anthem/BCBS. If I am not a provider with your insurance, therapy may still be covered in part by your plan as out-of-network services. A "Superbill" is a standard form that I will provide you to submit to your insurance for direct reimbursement to you, after your payment is made in full.
What if I don't have insurance or prefer paying out of pocket?
My fee for initial 60 minute assessment sessions is $145, and individual sessions are $125, typically lasting about 50 minutes. I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards including Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I offer a few sliding scale fee options to ensure that therapy remains accessible regardless of financial circumstances. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and my sliding scale is one way I strive to make that possible. However, please note that due to high demand and limited resources, there are a limited number of sliding scale spots available at any given time. If all the sliding scale spots are currently filled, we can discuss other options or put you on a waiting list for when spots become available.
Is therapy right for me?
Deciding whether therapy is right for you is a personal choice that depends on your individual circumstances and your goals. Therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of people facing various challenges or who are seeking personal growth and greater self-awareness. If you are experiencing significant emotional pain or challenges, feel stuck or overwhelmed, are facing a life transition or issues in your relationships, it is likely that therapy could be helpful. It’s normal to feel uncomfortable or uneasy about therapy at times, all that is needed is a willingness to engage in the therapeutic process. If you have further questions or would like to explore whether therapy is right for you, please feel free to reach out.
